If it doesn't quite scale the dizzy heights of 'The Holy Bible' or 'Everything Must Go', it certainly comes close and is, in many ways, the quintessential Manics album - the cathartic regeneration that the band really needed in order to become relevant again. (NME)

  1. James Dean Bradfields Gesang hat mir leider noch nie 100%ig gefallen. Da bringt die liebliche Nina doch direkt einen angenehmen Touch mit. Ansonsten liegt die Sache ähnlich wie bei dem B.R.M.C.: Enttäuschendes Vorgängeralbum, passable bis gute Platte nun, obwohl eigentlich schon abgeschrieben. 6 Punkte
